About Us

Pam & Mike Lembo started the ‘Cats Paw” doll accessory business in 1982 with 26 “Photo Etched” items in B and C scale sizes. The first expansion included “Limited Old Store Stock” when found. This stock consists of glass earrings, old lockets, enamels, collar pins and, in general, anything “old in style” but reasonably priced for dolls. Almost all of this “old stuff” has to be repolished, re-assembled or refinished. Meanwhile, Pam and Mike started buying antique accessories. They have been collecting small pocketbooks – doll sized – for many years. They had also found some old “BeBe” pieces and this started the next expansion of the collection. This selection is our “Antique Replica” line. These pieces are made from authentic antiques that have been purchased all over the world. The originals, for the most part, are Sterling Silver. They are reproduced in the Lost Wax technique in brass. Cat’s Paw receives the raw castings and then begin the finishing process. Our pieces look old because we control the polishing time in our machines, then hand polish each piece to the end product. Each button is de-burred and polished by hand. If you are a doll maker, you know that accessories are the finishing touch for your doll. If you are a collector, you know how difficult these pieces are to find, and how costly they can be. None of the items in this catalog should be considered as toys, and therefore, should not be given to children.
